Thunderball (1965) is the fourth James Bond film produced by Eon Productions, starring Sean Connery as MI6 agent James Bond. Adapted from Ian Fleming's novel and directed by Terence Young, the film follows Bond's mission to recover two NATO atomic bombs stolen by SPECTRE. The story spans the Bahamas, France, and underwater sequences, culminating in an epic underwater battle. Thunderball was the first Bond film shot in widescreen Panavision and remains one of the most financially successful in the series.
